SUSTAINABILITY POLICY

We have established a Sustainability Policy that clearly outlines the purpose and Corporate Social Responsibility of ColombiaTours.Travel. We are committed to providing services in a sustainable manner, thus developing practices that allow for the reduction of the negative impacts generated by tourist activity in environmental, social, and economic aspects.

In addition to this, ColombiaTours.Travel prioritizes activities that contribute to sustainability and the generation of employment for locals in each of the destinations marketed through our digital travel platform, thus being part of Corporate Social Responsibility with fair economic recognition provided by all third-party services. This is aimed at improving the quality of life, the quality of operation, and the tourism structure of each of the tourism service providers for the improvement and preservation of the environment and local culture.

Likewise, we are committed to training visitors and employees in sustainability principles and carrying out good environmental practices in the development of each of our activities. ColombiaTours.Travel is against the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents (CSEC), in accordance with Law 679 of 2001.

Sustainability Objectives

According to our sustainability policy and our commitment to providing a more sustainable service and meeting the requirements of tourism in its three focus areas, we have established the following objectives: Environmental Objectives, Socio-Cultural Objectives, and Economic Objectives.

Environmental Objectives:

To disseminate to our suppliers and clients about the legal regulations for the operation of destinations, raise awareness and prevent the promotion and commercialization of illegal trafficking of flora and fauna species.
Generate responsible information about the different attractions and activities in related destinations recognized for their natural heritage and promote their visit.
Organize, promote, and operate tourist products and services that do not generate negative impacts on the natural heritage, inform the client about products or souvenirs that may have an impact at the destination.
Avoid the use of paper whenever the travel agency’s activity allows it.

Socio-Cultural Objectives

  • Promote employment contribution for responsible local, cultural, and heritage development to promote the destination to be visited.
    Organize, promote, and operate information in a respectful manner about the attractions and activities related to the cultural heritage of the destination to promote its visit.
    Lead, support, and promote awareness among both our suppliers and clients for the prevention of illicit trafficking of cultural and heritage goods from a destination.
    Organize, promote, and operate products and destinations that do not generate negative impacts on the cultural heritage and that can be a symbol of respect from suppliers and clients.
    Lead, support, or promote campaigns associated with the prevention of commercial sexual exploitation of minors and report cases according to the legislation in force in the operating destination (ESCNNA).
    Raise awareness among employees and clients about preventing sexual exploitation of minors if there is evidence at the operating destination.

Economic Objectives

  • To contribute to the generation of employment for natural or legal persons in the destinations it operates, under fair and equitable conditions, and with knowledge of the location in which it will operate.
    To support the generation of employment for local communities in the destination where it operates, doing so directly and under fair and equitable conditions.
    To promote the purchase and consumption of goods and services created and marketed by the local community in the destinations it operates, in order to make a direct contribution to the local community and its products.
    To prevent child labor exploitation within the local community in the destinations where it operates.
    To promote respect and non-discrimination based on race or gender towards the local community by suppliers or clients in the destination where it operates or is promoted.
